Our app development services start with apps we build for ourselves, and we build them for other people too. Everything below is something we have shipped ourselves — on the App Store, on the Mac App Store, or running on our own servers.
Apps for iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch and Mac
Native Swift, built for the platform rather than wrapped around a website. We have shipped health tracking that reads and writes Apple Health, a Watch app that scores a badminton match live on your wrist, an email client for macOS, and utilities that filter calls and messages on the device itself.
That includes the parts people forget: App Store submission and review, privacy manifests, localisation, widgets, background refresh, and the update cadence afterwards.
Android
Where an app needs to exist on both platforms, we build the Android side too rather than leaving half your audience out.
Web applications you host yourself
Cortex is ours: a workspace of seventeen tools sharing one data model, which we host for our customers and can also set up on hardware they control. If you want software your business depends on to sit on your own infrastructure rather than someone else’s subscription, this is the shape of it. See what Cortex does.
AI that runs on your own hardware
Language models running locally on a Mac, with no API key, no per-token bill and nothing leaving the machine. We do this in FlowMail today. Where your data cannot go to a third party, this is usually the answer. How it works in FlowMail.
Integrations with the systems you already run
formatho reads Azure DevOps work items and formats them for a status report. Cortex talks to mail servers, calendars, GitHub and Azure DevOps. Most useful software is mostly plumbing, and we are comfortable with the plumbing.
Where to start
Tell us the idea and what it needs to do. We will tell you honestly whether it is something we can build well, roughly what it involves, and what we would do first. If it is not a good fit we will say so.
