Privacy Policy for Mobile Apps

Every red8.io app keeps your data on your device. There is no account to create with us, and red8.io operates no server that receives what you log, read or record.

Find your app’s policy

The apps do genuinely different things — a badminton tracker, a nutrition app and an email client have very little in common — so each has its own policy describing exactly what it handles:

  • badmintho — matches, workouts and health data on your device and in Apple Health.
  • slotho — health logs on your device; food lookups query public food databases.
  • FlowMail — mail fetched straight to your Mac, with no FlowMail server.

If your app is listed above, that page is the authoritative one and this page is only a signpost. The rest of this page covers the apps that do not yet have a page of their own — currently formatho and pluris.

What applies to every red8.io app

No account, no profile

None of the apps asks you to register with red8.io, because there is nothing to register with. We hold no username, no password and no profile of you. Where an app connects to a service — your Azure DevOps organisation in formatho, your mail provider in FlowMail — that connection is between your device and that service, using credentials you supply, held in the system Keychain.

Your data stays on your device

What the apps store — settings, history, cached content — is written to your device, and to your own iCloud where an app syncs between your devices. That is Apple’s infrastructure under your Apple Account, not ours. Deleting an app removes its copy.

Health data

Where an app reads or writes Apple Health, it asks your permission first and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices. Health data is governed by your own Health privacy settings; it is not sent to us.

Purchases

Paid tiers are sold through Apple. Payment details are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy and never reach us; we receive only anonymous sales reports.

No advertising and no tracking

No red8.io app contains advertising, and none tracks you across other apps or websites — which is why iOS never shows you a tracking prompt for one of ours. Where an app offers optional, anonymous usage statistics, that is stated in its own policy, it is off unless you switch it on, and it never includes your content.

Your rights

Because we hold no account and no personal profile, there is in almost every case nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete on request — your data is on your device and is removed with the app. If you have written to us and would like that correspondence deleted, ask and we will delete it.

The websites

This page covers the apps. For red8.io itself, see the website privacy policy.
