red8.io is a small site about the apps I build. There is no account to create, no comment form, no newsletter and no shop. Nothing here asks you for personal information, and the only thing it measures is measured with your permission.

This page covers the red8.io website. Each app has its own privacy policy, because each app handles data differently — those are linked at the bottom.
Analytics — only if you agree
red8.io uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages and links people use, so I can tell which app pages are worth improving and whether any advertising is working.
On your first visit you are asked whether to allow it. The default is no: until you accept, no analytics runs and nothing is sent to Google. Declining costs you nothing — the site behaves identically either way.
If you accept, what is recorded is: the pages you open and how long you stay, where you arrived from, which links you follow out of the site, and your approximate location — country and city — derived from your IP address, along with your browser and device type. Your IP address is used to work out that location and is then discarded; it is not stored in the reports. Nothing recorded identifies you personally, and Google’s advertising and remarketing features are switched off, so it is not used to follow you around other websites.
The records are kept for two months — the shortest period Google allows — and then deleted. Only aggregate counts remain after that, and those describe no individual visit.
The measurement is set up through Cloudflare Zaraz, which also serves and protects this site. The tags run on Cloudflare’s network rather than in your browser, so no Google script is loaded onto the page. Both companies act as processors and handle the data under their own privacy policies. The same consent-gated measurement runs on badmintho.com, slotho.io and luizmaiaj.com.
Cookies
Your answer to the analytics question is remembered in a cookie named zaraz-consent. It is set whether you accept or decline, because either answer has to be remembered. If you accept, Google Analytics also sets a first-party cookie so that repeat visits from the same browser count as one person rather than several; if you decline, it is not set. To change your mind, clear your cookies for red8.io and you will be asked again.
WordPress sets login and session cookies for people who sign in to administer the site. That is me. It does not apply to visitors, because there is no way for a visitor to register or sign in.
What this site does not do
- No comments. Commenting is switched off site-wide, so nothing collects a name, an email address or an IP address for that purpose.
- No forms. There is no contact form, no sign-up and no search box that submits anywhere. Support pages give an email address to write to instead.
- No embedded third-party content. No videos, maps, fonts, social widgets or trackers are loaded from other companies’ servers. Every image and stylesheet comes from red8.io itself.
- No accounts and no registration. There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no profile of you to hold.
Writing to me
The support pages list an email address for each app. If you write, I hold your message and your address for as long as it takes to answer you and to keep a record of the conversation. I do not add you to any list, and there is no list to add you to.
Hosting
The site is served through Cloudflare, which sits in front of it and keeps the standard security and traffic logs any host keeps — including IP addresses — to block attacks and abuse. That happens whether or not you accept analytics, because it is how the site stays online rather than a way of measuring you.
The apps
Nothing on this page describes the apps. They run on your device and are covered separately:
Your rights
Because this site holds no account and builds no profile, there is in almost every case nothing for me to retrieve, correct or delete on request. If you have written to me and would like that correspondence deleted, ask and I will delete it. For anything concerning the analytics, declining or clearing the consent cookie stops it, and the records expire within two months regardless.
