formatho support & feedback
It helps to include your macOS version, the formatho version from the App Store, and whether you are connecting to a personal or an organisation Azure DevOps account.
formatho won’t connect to Azure DevOps
Three things have to line up in Settings: the organisation exactly as it appears in your dev.azure.com/<organisation> address, the email address of the account the token belongs to, and a Personal Access Token that has not expired. Tokens expire on a date you chose when you created them, so a setup that worked last month can simply have run out.
What permissions does the token need?
Read access to work items is enough. formatho only ever reads — it has no code that creates, edits or deletes anything — so there is no reason to give it a token that can write.
Can I use an on-premises Azure DevOps Server?
Not at the moment. formatho connects to dev.azure.com and there is no setting for a custom or self-hosted server address.
Nothing lands on my clipboard
Copying automatically is off until you switch it on. Turn on the copy-to-clipboard option in Settings and formatho will put the formatted work items there as it fetches them.
My project list is empty or out of date
formatho remembers the project list so the picker is filled in when you open the app. If projects have been added or renamed since, switch on refresh projects on launch in Settings, or re-fetch them there.
The widget isn’t updating
macOS decides when widgets refresh, not formatho, so a widget can sit still for a while and then catch up. Set your credentials in the app first — the widget uses the same ones and cannot do anything until they are there.
Where are my credentials kept?
On your Mac. They are sent to one place — your own Azure DevOps organisation — and never to us; formatho has no account system and no server. You can revoke the token in Azure DevOps at any time and formatho immediately loses access.
